Vessel of Hatred Free Trial – Blizzard’s Way of Winning Back Players?
Blizzard just announced a free trial for Diablo 4 items the Vessel of Hatred DLC, and I can’t help but think this is a calculated move to bring players back into the game. Diablo 4 had a mixed reception, and while Season 7 made improvements, a lot of people are still skeptical about future content.
Offering a free trial is a smart way to get lapsed players to return. If the new content is solid, it could convince people to finally buy the expansion. But I wonder—how much will be available during the trial? If they limit the experience too much, it might not be enough to hook players.
Another thing I’m curious about is whether progress from the trial carries over. If I get new gear or level up a character, I’d want that to stay if I decide to buy the full DLC.
